About the Role
We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our cloud infrastructure, security, and deployment strategy, bridging the gap between rapid AI innovation and rigorous regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for architecting and securing the environments where we build autonomous agents and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into production workflows. You will ensure our cloud infrastructure and AI layers are not only scalable and robust but also fully compliant with industry standards like HIPAA and SOC2.
You will be responsible for architecting and securing the environments where we build autonomous agents and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into production workflows. You will ensure our cloud infrastructure and AI layers are not only scalable and robust but also fully compliant with industry standards like HIPAA and SOC2.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with Azure and/or AWS.
- Lead the implementation and management of automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable deployments.
- Champion “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC) principles to automate and standardize environment provisioning.
- Provision and optimize infrastructure specifically for AI/ML workloads, including the deployment of ML models and autonomous agents.
- Implement and manage MLflow (or equivalent tools) to track experiments, manage models, and streamline the ML lifecycle.
- Integrate and manage security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, and container scanning) directly into the development lifecycle.
- Architect and enforce security controls to ensure continuous SOC2 compliance and adherence to HIPAA standards.
- Work closely with full-stack engineers and product management to define infrastructure requirements and deliver high-quality, secure products.
Technical Requirements (The Must-Haves)
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevSecOps or Cloud Engineering, specifically managing production Azure environments.
- Proven experience deploying and monitoring ML models and AI agents in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with ML lifecycle management tools such as MLflow or similar frameworks.
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Azure Bicep or AWS CDK.
- Strong experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket/Github or Azure DevOps.
- Expert knowledge of security scanning tools and vulnerability management.
- Direct experience working in a regulated industry with a deep understanding of HIPAA and SOC2 compliance.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the healthcare domain and in handling PHI data.
- Multi-cloud experience spanning AWS and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Python (FastAPI) and Node.js ecosystems to better support engineering workflows.
- Background in managing data security for relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/CosmosDB) databases.
- Startup Mindset: Quick learner with a bias for action, ownership mentality, and the ability to favor pragmatism over perfection.
Location: Hybrid / Remote
Hybrid: Candidates in the Washington, D.C. area will work from the DC office 3 days a week.
Remote: We are open to fully remote applicants who demonstrate a high level of fit and potential for the role.
